News Release
24th June 2016

BLOOM Gin and the OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar & Brasserie are delighted to announce the opening of THE BLOOM GIN TERRACE @ OXO on the eighth floor of the OXO Tower, which has panoramic views over London’s skyline. Launching on Thursday 23rd June and running until the end of the summer, (Sunday 21st August) THE BLOOM GIN TERRACE @ OXO will be serving a bespoke menu of six cocktails, created by OXO’s star bartender, Sophie Bratt.

BLOOM Gin has partnered with OXO to celebrate the creator of BLOOM Gin, Joanne Moore’s 10th Anniversary as Master Gin Distiller and OXO’s 20th birthday. Sophie’s cocktails were inspired by English country gardens as well as the botanicals Joanne selected for BLOOM Gin’s distillation, which include honeysuckle, chamomile and pomelo (Chinese grapefruit).

BLOOM Gin Global Brand and Marketing Director, Lizzy Johnson, says: “We are delighted to be partnering with OXO for this BLOOM Gin Bar for the summer. This is the perfect fit for our award-winning gin, created by Joanne, one of the world’s most talented Master Gin Distillers.”

“BLOOM Gin, with its new livery, and Sophie’s bespoke OXO cocktails, are a combination of the talents of two women. Joanne has created an award-winning gin sold in over 50 countries worldwide and Sophie is an up-and-coming figure on the London cocktail scene.”

Sophie adds: “I’ve had a ball coming up with English garden inspired cocktails for the menu. My favourites include Day Dreamer, a twist on the classic Collins and Honey Pot, which combines BLOOM Gin with lavender honey and lemon juice and is garnished with bee pollen.”

The BLOOM Gin Terrace @ OXO is open from Monday – Thursday, 11am – 11pm; Friday – Saturday, 11am – midnight; and 12 midday – 10.30pm on Sunday.

Tables can be reserved by emailing or calling 0207 803 3888.

A twist on the classic Collins – shaken with lemon juice and chamomile tea syrup – this long cocktail is both delicate and delicious. Served with a garnish of sugar snap peas.

Short and sweet, this cocktail is mixed with fragrant lavender honey and topped with bee pollen. It comes served in a jam jar ready to be shaken table-side before sipping.

Served in an elegant coupette, this cocktail is shaken with strawberries, apple juice and pea shoots and packs a blooming punch.

A prosecco based cocktail, with delicious additions of velvet falernum (a spiced-citrusy-syrup), lime, jasmine tea and lemon strips. This is spritz – British style.

Served in a beautiful copa glass, this simple serve is the cocktail of the British summer with British strawberries and mint stirred through with Fever-Tree tonic and ice.

Stirred with pomelo and grapefruit cordial, this sharp and sweet gin gimlet is the ultimate summer sip. Garnished with a grapefruit twist.
