McGrath’s Craft Irish Beer
McGrath’s Irish Ales are the brainchild of founder and Master Brewer Mark Pearson at the Clanconnel Brewery and named in honour of the ‘Mighty’ Master McGrath, the greatest greyhound to have ever raced! Master McGrath was born in 1867 and became an Irish National hero by beating England’s racing pride ‘White Rose’ and carrying back the coveted Waterloo Cup to Ireland three times. Master McGrath is so famous that he is the only greyhound in Ireland not to only have one statue erected in his honour but three. The legendary champion greyhound died in 1873 and was buried in the grounds of a house called ‘Solitude’ in Lurgan, which is only a stone throws away from Clanconnel Brewery and the home of McGraths Irish Ales. The range includes six variants.
